About 45 minutes from Florence in the town of Leccio you will find a designer outlet center known as the Mall. Here you will find Gucci, Tod’s, Armani, AX Jeans, Fendi, Ferragamo and Burberry stores at reduced prices. In order to buy gold or silver jewelry you should walk along the Ponte Vecchio or head to Via Tornabuoni and Via Vigna Nuova for the designer boutiques.
In picturesque Siena you may purchase incredible handicrafts and local artifacts unique to the city. Beautiful ties, paper, fabrics, gold jewelry and tapestries are all produced in Siena. The main street in the city, Via di Citta, has lots of good shops selling bags, purses and other leather products. Don’t miss popular Siena-based brands like Intimissimi, Upim, Benetton and Furla.
If you prefer outdoor shopping in Siena, then every Wednesday there is a large local market held close to Fortrezza Mediceana. Here you will find good quality wine, olive oil and cheese. The Montestigliono Olive estate is located close to the city and visitors can visit local olive groves and purchase bottles of extra virgin olive oil.
